I Want, But I Fear

I want to find love

like no other love—

the kind that settles

deep within my soul.

Something dazzling,

like stars scattered across the sky.

Something that takes my breath away,

that fills me with hope.

A love that nourishes.

Full of loyalty.

Something so beautiful

even the moon might grow jealous.

To feel it like the ocean—

crashing into the sand

between my toes.

Like the wind,

soft and certain,

as if fate itself

was guiding us together.

Like morning—

birds singing,

wings stretched wide,

hungry for more.

I want to love

so deep,

so consuming—

It’s just a shame

I’m afraid of love too.
